FAQ's & Policies

What vaccinations do you require?
In order to maintain a safe environment, a rabies certificate is needed at your first visit. Of course, we prefer pets to be current on their vaccinations and pets should be in good health prior to receiving any pet grooming services. While we do not require shot records, we do ask you to be a responsible pet owner and vaccinate your pet for its own health. You should wait at least 48 hours after shots before checking in, as your pet may be sore from the shot and could be lethargic or have an allergic reaction. So, pets should be monitored for at least 48 hours after shots, for their own safety. If your pet appears to be ill, we will ask you to bring them back, at another time.

Will my pet be sedated?
We don't sedate your pet. However, if your vet provides medication to help calm your pet, at your request and sole responsibility, we will administer it as recommend by your vet.

Keep in mind that grooming is very stressful to some pets and sedation slows the heart rate down and the stress can be harmful to your pet.

If your pet has been known to have a strong behavioral reaction to grooming or bathing, please advise us when dropping off. If a pet is truly uncooperative or made uncomfortable by the process, we might have to end the session. However, we will offer suggestions, such as discussing the problems with your vet to make future services easier for your pet.

Do you groom cats?
Sorry, but due to the substantial number of dog grooming appointments and safety concerns, we are no longer able to accept cats for grooming.

Do you kennel dry?
We try to completely hand dry all dogs first.
We only kennel dry if the dog is too stressed to hand dry and we towel dry first to minimize the amount of time spent in the kennel.

Will my pet be kenneled?
We strive to maintain a kennel free environment.
However, we do have kennels for those that may not get along well with others.

How long will it take?
We have a 3 to 4 hour drop off period. We work very hard for your dog to be ready within the 3 hours but due to unexpected issues it can take longer. You are welcome to sit and wait on you dog but if you stay you must stay seated during the entire groom and not talk with the dog. You may also be here for 3 to 4 hours.

Can I stay and watch my pet be groomed?
Yes. All customers are welcome to sit in our waiting area while their pet is being groomed.

Please remember, unless they have an appointment for an express, there may be other dogs ahead of them and it could take up to 3-4 hours.

Cancellation and No Shows
You must cancel at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment or there will be a charge of half of the grooming cost for that appointment when rescheduling. The dog must be here within 20 minutes of their appointment time or it will be a no-show and the same fee will apply.
